The Revolutionary War had a major role in establishing America's freedom. In 1775, the colonists and the British began their fight. The colonists sacrificed everything for one sliver of freedom. About 25,000 colonists died fighting for the future generations. These colonists fought for what they believed in and never gave up on their dream of being free. Finally they succeeded, ending the Revolutionary War in 1783. The colonists celebrated while Britain signed the Treaty of Paris, officially separating the United States and Britain into two different nations.
