The treaty of Paris
The Treaty of Paris was a negotiation between Britain and America. This treaty ended the Revolutionary War and was a representation of America's newly found freedom. This treaty was signed by John Adams, Ben Franklin, John Jay, Thomas Jefferson, and Henry Laurens. This time in history was greatly celebrated in America, and made us closer as a nation. Many colonists had doubts throughout the war, but were greatly pleased with outcome. Many Patriots lost their lives, and many British soldiers lost their dignity. We don't celebrate the day the Treaty of Paris was signed as a national holiday, but we do celebrate Independence day, which is in honor of the same thing: Our freedom.
