George Washington had sketched a plan for the flag out, and gave it to Betsy Ross so she could sew the flag into a real-life representation for George. She was a very good sewer, and completed the flag successfully. She was also a very big supporter of the Patriots, so she contributed as much fund raised money as she could get. She was one of the Patriots' most prized woman, considering she gave them an irreplaceable representation of what they were fighting for, which gave them a boost in confidence about the war itself.
